Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 3-4. The men’s tournament
field will feature seven collegiate teams, while the women’s

The Bulldogs’ annual fall tournament will be played at
Highland Country Club for the first time. Last year’s
event was held at Eagle Creek Golf Course. Highland is
located near the Butler campus at 1050 W. 52nd Street. The
picturesque, par-70 layout has been host to the Indiana Amateur and
several other Indiana golf championships. Highland also was
the site of the 1991 Midwestern Collegiate Conference Golf
Championship.
This year’s Butler Fall Invitational will feature men’s
teams from Butler, IUPUI, Evansville, Green Bay, Valparaiso,
Chicago State and Eastern Illinois, and women’s teams from
Butler, Ball State, IUPUI, Evansville, Green Bay, Valparaiso,
Indiana State, Western Illinois and Eastern Illinois.
Evansville is the defending men’s champion, while Bradley won
last year’s women’s tournament.
Butler’s women, led by senior Michele Nash, have won
back-to-back tournaments in their first two outings this
fall. The Bulldogs won the Green Bay Invitational on Sept.
12-13, and then captured the Valparaiso Invitational on Sept.
19-20. Nash was the individual medalist at the Valparaiso
tournament.
The Butler men captured the team title at the season-opening Green
Bay Invitational.
The men’s competition at the Butler Fall Invitational will
feature 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. The women will
play 18 holes each day. There will be a shotgun start for all
teams at 9 a.m. (ET) each day.
