Butler Men Grab Fall Invitational Lead

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- Butler’s men, fueled by the strong
one-two punch of seniors Andrew Wegeng and Colin Reenan, will take
a seven-stroke lead into the final round of the Butler Fall
Invitational on Tuesday (Oct. 9). the tournament, featuring
both men’s and women’s competition, is being held at
Highland Country Club in Indianapolis.
Wegeng grabbed the individual lead on the first day of the
tournament with a four-under par 66. Reenan stands just one
stroke back in second place. The two helped Butler to a team
total of 281, seven strokes better than Green Bay in the five-team
field.
Butler’s women, led by sophomore Isabella Lambert, finished
the opening round of the 11-team women’s competition in
seventh place. Lambert shot a three-over-par 73 and will head
into the final round in a tie for third place.
The opening round was delayed for four hours by frost. The
final round is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m.
