Butler Finishes 10th At Dayton Flyer Invitational
Freshman Andrew Wegeng shot the best back-to-back rounds of his young collegiate career to capture a “Top Five” individual finish and help Butler to a 10th place team finish at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, which finished in Kettering, Ohio, on Tuesday (Oct. 20). The tournament was Butler’s final competition of the fall season.

Butler Ties For 12th At D. A. Weibring Intercollegiate
Butler lost ground in the final round of the tournament and wound up tied for 12th in the final team standings of the D. A. Weibring Intercollegiate, hosted by Illinois State University. The two-day, 54-hole tournament at Weibring Golf Club concluded on Monday (Oct. 12).

Bulldogs Place Third At The Butler Men’s Fall Invitational
Senior Kyle Thomas matched his career-best round and helped Butler record the best final round team score at the Butler Fall Invitational, which wrapped up on Tuesday (Oct. 6). The Bulldogs, who entered the final day in a tie for fourth place in the 13-team meet, wound up placing third in the final standings.

Bulldogs Tie For Seventh At Cleveland State Invitational
Butler turned in a strong second-round performance and wound up tied for seventh place in the final team standings at the rain-shortened Telich/Sunlife Financial Invitational, hosted by Cleveland State on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 28-29). Malone College captured the captured the championship in the 12-team event.

Butler Finishes Eighth At The Fairway Club Invitational
Freshman Matt Vogt shot a final round one-under-par 71 to grab a “Top 10” individual finish and help Butler to an eighth place team finish at the Fairway Club Invitational, hosted by Nebraska at ArborLinks Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 14-15). Drake led wire-to-wire and captured the team title in the 12-team meet.

Bulldogs Finish Sixth At Horizon League Championship
Junior Kyle Thomas put on a strong closing run and claimed third place in the final individual standings at the 2009 Horizon League Men's Golf Championship held at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Ky., on Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28. The Bulldogs wound up sixth in the final team standings.

Butler Takes Third At the Detroit Titans Invitational
Senior Kevin Sasena posted a top five individual finish and helped lead Butler to a third place team finish at the 13-team Detroit Titans Invitational, which wrapped up at Golden Fox Country Club in Plymouth, Mich., on Saturday, April 18. The Bulldogs finished just two strokes out of second place and nine strokes behind team champ Loyola College.

Senior Kevin Sasena tied for 25th in the final individual standings and paced Butler to a 12th place team finish at the adidas Hoosier Invitational, which concluded at the IU Championship Golf Course on Sunday (April 12). Host Indiana won the 16-team tournament.
