Bulldogs Win Butler Spring Invitational

Senior Michael Heston finished runner-up in the individual competition and helped lead Butler to the team title at the Butler Men's Spring Invitational held at Prestwick Country Club on Monday and Tuesday, March 24-25. The tournament was shortened to 27 holes due to inclement weather.

Heston carded a 78 on the opening round and then posted a 34 on the second day to finish six strokes off the pace at 112. Josh Oldham of IUPUI captured medalist honors with a final score of 106. Butler's Chris Cirmotich, Jonathan Novak and Will Turner all tied for third in the competition at 114. Cirmotich and Novak were both part of Butler's scoring team, while Turner was playing as a non-scoring individual.

Butler won the team crown with a final score of 457, four strokes ahead of runner-up IUPUI. Oakland (472) finished third, followed by Evansville (480), Loyola (483), Wisconsin-Green Bay (486) and Samford (486).
