Junior Kyle Thomas put on a strong closing run and claimed third place in the final individual standings at the 2009 Horizon League Men's Golf Championship held at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Ky., on Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28. The Bulldogs wound up sixth in the final team standings.

Thomas, who shot a 78 in the opening round, had the tournament's best single round score with a five-under-par 67 in the second round. He then finished with a one-over-par 73 to post a final score of two-over-par 218.
