ILLINOIS RUN: Butler's men's golf squad, coming off the 54-hole Bradley Fall Classic, will return to Illinois to compete in the Eastern Illinois Ironhorse Ironhorse Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 15-16. The 36-hole tournament will be played at Ironhorse Golf Course in Tuscola, Ill. Butler placed second in a 17-team field at the Eastern Illinois Ironhorse Invitational last year.

SLOW START: The Bulldogs fell behind in the first round of the Bradley Fall Classic and never recovered, winding up ninth in the 14-team field. Butler shot a 311 in the opening round and trailed 11 other teams heading into the second round. Head coach Ben Weaver's club improved with a 303 in the second round, before finishing with a 309. Butler's 54-hole total of 923 was two strokes behind 8th place Northern Illinois. Northern Iowa won the tournament with a score of 880, while Southwest Missouri State finished second at 894.

CONSISTENT SWING: Sophomore Colin Christie (Indianapolis) paced the Bulldogs for the second straight tournament. Christie posted rounds of 74, 74 and 76 to place 12th in the final individual standings at the Bradley Fall Classic. He was the only Butler player to crack the "Top 20" in the 79-player field. Christie, who also led the Bulldogs at the UW-Green Bay Invitational, has posted 16 consecutive rounds of 77 or better this fall. He leads the team in scoring with a 72.9 average.

HOT FINISH: Sophomore Jonathan Novak (Mt. Prospect, Ill.) had Butler best 18-hole score at the Bradley Fall Classic with a 71 in the final round. Novak tied for 22nd in the meet with a 54-hole score of 228.
