Oct. 4, 2005

Butler will host its second annual Bulldog Lacrosse Coaches Clinic Dec. 3. Head coach Stan Ross, his staff and associate athletic director Jon Hind will present half-hour sessions on individual defense, shooting, man-down defense and offensive fundamentals. The deadline to register for the event is Nov. 20.

The day begins at 8:30 a.m. with introductions and coffee and donuts. Ross opens the sessions at 9:15 a.m. discussing individual defense. Assistant coaches Matt Florio and Chris Gabrielli follow with presentations on shooting and man-down defense, respectively. Hind, Butler's first lacrosse coach and current chair of the Division I NCAA Men's Lacrosse Committee, discusses offensive fundamentals at 11 a.m. Hind won "National Coach of the Year" honors in 1998.

The day concludes with a question and answer session with Ross and lunch at nearby Moe and Johnny's, hosted by LaxWorld, STX and Cascade Lacrosse. The cost for the entire day (including breakfast and lunch) is $20 per coach.
