Boris Gatzky Named Horizon League Player of the Week

Butler senior Boris Gatzky, who helped the Bulldogs to a pair of road wins including an upset of #14 Indiana, has been named Horizon League Player of the Week for the period Oct. 5-11  He’s the first Butler player honored with the league’s weekly award this season.

Gatzky, a forward from Reutlingen, Germany, led the Bulldogs sparked Butler’s wins at Indiana and Valparaiso, both coming by the identical score of 2-1.  He has assists on both Butler goals against Indiana, helping the Bulldogs to their first victory over the Hoosiers since 1995.

The three assists on the week gave Gatzky 16 for his Butler career, and moved him into a tie for eighth place on the Bulldogs’ all-time assist chart.
