Kentucky's Jamal Shteiwi scored the only goal of the match in the 57th minute to lead the #17-ranked Wildcats to a 1-0 victory over Butler in the final round of the Spnix/Land Rover Furman Invitational in Greenville, S.C., on Sunday, Sept. 8. The loss was Butler's second in the tournament and dropped the Bulldogs to 1-3 on the season.

The Wildcats kept pressure on Butler for most of the afternoon and finished with a 17-7 edge in shots. Kentucky also had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks. Reinhardt, who turned in a solid performance in his first Butler start, finished with eight saves for the Bulldogs.
Senior Paul Vogel and freshman Brad Johns each earned a spot on the all-tournament team following the completion of the two-day competition. Vogel started both matches in the tournament for the Bulldogs, while Johns was given his first collegiate start against Kentucky.
Butler, which has faced four consecutive "Top 25" teams, will play its first home game on the season on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The Bulldogs will host Horizon League foe Cleveland State in a 2 p.m., contest at Varsity Field.
