Second half goals by Chad Dombrowski and Antou Jallow powered host UW-Milwaukee to a 2-0 victory over Butler in a Horizon League match in Milwaukee, Wis., on Friday, Nov. 1. The season-ending loss left the Bulldogs with an 8-9-3 overall record and a 4-3 league mark, while conference champ UW-Milwaukee improved to 15-1-1 overall and 7-0 in league action.
Dombrowski broke a halftime scoreless tie with a goal just over nine minutes into the second period. He took a pass from teammate Khaled El-Ahmad and blasted a shot past goalkeeper Grant Barrie from 12 yards out. It was the fifth goal of the season for Dombrowski.
The nationally-ranked Panthers made it 2-0 eight minutes later when Horizon League scoring leader Antou Jallow slipped a shot into the goal from eight yards away, after taking a nifty pass from Trent Furtsch. The goal was the 19th of the season for Jallow.
The Bulldogs, who didn't attempt a shot in the first half, managed just three shots in the final 45 minutes. Barrie faced 20 shots in the match, including 10 shots on goal. He finished with eight saves.
