Head coach Kelly Findley, preparing for his fourth season with the Bulldogs, guided the Bulldogs to their best campaign in nearly a decade last fall. Butler's 13-3-4 final record matched the fourth-highest single season win total in school history, and the Bulldogs finished runner-up in the Horizon League regular season race. Butler was ranked in the Top 25 during the season and finished in a tie for ninth in the NCAA Division I in win-loss percentage (.750)!
Findley returns eight starters from last year's successful squad, including goalkeeper Nick Hegeman, forward Kyle Pateros and midfielder Boris Gatzky. Hegeman posted a 0.77 goals against average with seven shutouts last season, while Pateros and Gatzky tied for third on the team in scoring with 14 points apiece.
The Bulldogs will open the fall campaign at home against Dayton on Wednesday, August 19. The match at the Butler Bowl is slated for 5 p.m. (ET).
