Forced to play indoors due to weather in the Indianapolis area, the Butler men's tennis team lost, 4-0, to Cleveland State in the Horizon League Tennis Championship semifinal. BU finished the season with a 10-13 dual record.

The Butler mens tennis team defeated Green Bay, 4-1, to open Horizon League Championship play Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs advanced to the semifinals to play regular season champion Cleveland State Saturday morning.

Bulldogs Split 2 Contests In Ohio
The Butler mens tennis team split two matches in Northeast Ohio over the weekend, defeating Youngstown State but losing to Cleveland State. Both matches were played indoors despite spring-like weather across the Midwest. BU cruised past YSU, 6-1, before falling 5-2 at CSU.

Raiders Edge Bulldog Tennis, 4-3
The doubles point gave Wright State a 1-0 lead and ultimately a 4-3 victory Thursday over the Butler mens tennis team. The two teams split 3-3 in singles play, giving BU its first Horizon League loss of the season.

Butler Splits Pair Of Matches Over Weekend
The Butler mens tennis team split two matches this weekend, falling at Ball State (6-1) before picking up a 5-2 win over Detroit. BUs win over the Titans gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 start in Horizon League play. Junior Brandon Bayliss went 2-0 at No. 4 singles to highlight the weekend for the Bulldogs.

Playing outdoors for the first time this season, the Butler men's tennis team fell to Nicholls State, 5-2, during its spring break trip to Louisiana. Juniors Bryce Warren and Lenz Theodor picked up singles victories for the Bulldogs.

Bulldog Mens Tennis Aiming For Return To NCAAs
The Bulldogs own nine conference championships and six appearances in the NCAA Mens Tennis Championship. Butler has fallen a step short of the league title in each of the past two seasons, but the 2010 edition of the Dogs may have enough firepower to get back to the national tournament.

Butler Has Successful Run At ITA Regionals
Butler tennis was as well represented as it has even been at last weekends ITA Mens Regional Tennis Championships. Eight players played singles including three in the main draw and each of the four doubles teams won a match in the main doubles draw.
