WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Ben Raynauld and Bryce Warren won the doubles consolation bracket and Andrew Bayliss and Stephen McLoughlin won their consolation singles matches in the final day of Purdue's fall invite.
Raynauld and Warren went 2-0 on the day. The Bulldogs advanced after Purdue's Wilson-Heuer combo withdrew because of injury, then defeated another Purdue combo 8-6 in the consolation final.
Andrew Bayliss received a bye into the consolation semifinal and defeated Jamie Firth of Eastern Illinois 6-4, 6-4. On the other side of the bracket, McLoughlin rallied from behind to beat Iowa's Mitch Beckert 3-6, 6-2, 10-4, setting up a consolation final between Bayliss and McLoughlin. The match wasn't played.
Chris Herron also split his two matches, winning 6-3, 6-4 over Purdue's Billy Heuer before falling to J.G. Crowley of Marquette.
Zach Ervin gave a strong effort in both singles and doubles. Ervin defeated Marquette's Jose Munoz 6-4, 6-3 and also teamted with Herron for an 8-2 win over a team from Marquette.
