Butler Falls To Nicholls State, 5-2

MATCH RESULTS - Nicholls State 5, Butler 2

THIBODAUX, La. - Playing outdoors for the first time this season, the Butler men's tennis team fell to Nicholls State, 5-2, during its spring break trip to Louisiana. Juniors  Bryce Warren and Lenz Theodor picked up singles victories for the Bulldogs.

Warren won at No. 3 singles after his opponent, Eric Fisher, retired in the second set due to injury. Theodor took down NSU's Dmitry Kozionov at No. 5 in three sets. After splitting the first two sets, Theodor outlasted Kozionov 6-4 in the third set.

"It was good to get outdoors and let everyone play," head coach Jason Suscha said. "The elements force you to play with greater focus and we have to improve in that area."

BU's next match is March 20 at Ball State.
