DAYTON, Ohio - Five of six Bulldog singles players won in straight sets as the Butler men's tennis team swept Dayton, 7-0. It was Butler's first 7-0 dual-match win of the season.
Bryce Warren, Lenz Theodor and Zach Ervin each picked up a singles win and a doubles win in the victory. Warren won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and teamed with Ben Raynauld for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles. Theodor won 7-6 (1), 6-1 at No. 5 singles and won with Stephen McLoughlin at No. 2 doubles. Ervin picked up a three-set win at No. 6 singles and won with freshman Andrew Bayliss at No. 3 doubles.
Butler, now 2-4 on the season, will host Illinois State Sunday, Feb. 14 at noon.
