Bayliss Stays Unbeaten In 4-3 Loss To Raiders


INDIANAPOLIS - Senior Brandon Bayliss moved his Horizon League singles record to 5-0 but the Butler men's tennis team was edged, 4-3, by Wright State. 

Bayliss, now 14-14 overall, has won all five of his league matches at No. 1 singles after posting a 4-6, 6-2, 10-4 win over WSU's Jan Alafriz. 

Junior Chris Herron and senior Lenz Theodor also added singles wins. Herron won in three sets at No. 2 singles and Theodor cruised 6-1, 6-1 in the fourth spot. 

Herron and senior Bryce Warren added an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, but Wright State (13-9) got three singles wins and two of three in doubles play for the dual win. 

Butler hosts Ball State Wednesday, April 13 and Valparaiso and UIC this coming weekend.
