WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Senior Chris Herron won in straight sets at No. 3 singles to lead the Butler men's tennis team in a 6-1 loss at Purdue Saturday morning.
Herron defeated Purdue's Mark Kovacs 7-5, 6-1 for BU's only point. The Boilermakers won all three doubles contests for the doubles point and took five of the six singles matches. Brandon Bayliss and Lenz Theodor had the most success at doubles before falling 8-6 at No. 2 doubles.
The Bulldogs, now 1-5, have played Ohio State, Wisconsin, Purdue and Indiana. BU is 1-1 against mid-major schools.
Butler will host Drake Sunday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m.
