Toledo Edges Bulldogs, 5-2

INDIANAPOLIS - Junior Chris Herron and senior Zach Ervin each posted a singles win and Butler got a win at No. 2 doubles in a 5-2 loss to Toledo. Seniors Brandon Bayliss and Lenz Theodor were the winning doubles combo for the Bulldogs.
Herron battled his way past Toledo's Gursher Harika at No. 3 singles in a match that saw two tie-breakers. Herron ended up winning 7-6 (0), 7-6 (5). Ervin defeated UT's Bryant Dudzik 6-3, 7-5.
Bayliss and Theodor were the highlight of doubles play. The senior duo won 8-3 at No. 2. Toledo won the other two doubles matches to win the doubles point.
Butler (1-8) is off until it hosts Dayton Sunday, March 6.
