INDIANAPOLIS – Just two days after facing No. 5 Ohio State in the 2014 season opener, the Butler men's tennis team will host Youngstown State at the Butler Bubble on Friday, Jan. 24. Action is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
Butler took a 7-0 loss to the nationally-ranked Buckeyes on Wednesday. The team will try to secure their first win of the season going against long-time foe Youngstown State on Friday.
These two programs last met in the spring of 2012 as members of the Horizon League. Youngstown recorded a 5-2 home win in the regular season finale, but it was Butler who would get the last laugh as they advanced past the Penguins in the Horizon League Championship Tournament 4-2.
The Penguins will take the court for the first time this season when they visit Indianapolis. The team is coming off a 13-9 overall record in 2013 which included a 4-2 conference record.
