INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler men's tennis team will host DePauw on Wednesday, March 19. The match between the Bulldogs and Tigers will begin at 4 p.m.
DePauw is 6-2 overall with wins over Olivet Nazarene, Principia, Ohio Wesleyan, Rose-Hulman and Wittenberg. Their two losses this season came vs. Washington (Mo.) and at Chicago. Winners of two-straight, the Tigers rely on Ben Kopecky and Sam Miles to perform well at the top of the lineup. That duo is also the best doubles tandem on the roster.
The Bulldogs will try to improve on their 7-4 overall record. The team has played well on their home court, posting a 6-1 record as the home team, compared to a 1-3 mark on the road. Brandon Woods, Austin Woldmoe and Tommy Marx lead the team in singles wins. Pulok Bhattacharya and Sam O'Neill are also impact players for the 'Dogs as they spend a majority of their sets at the top of the singles lineup.
