The Butler mens tennis team got victories at Nos. 2, 5 and 6 singles but was edged in the final match of the day in a 4-3 loss at Purdue. BU falls to 0-3 on the season, with all three matches coming against Big Ten opponents.

Bayliss Picks Up Win vs. Wisconsin
Junior Brandon Bayliss won in straight sets at No. 4 singles but 32nd-ranked Wisconsin defeated the Butler men's tennis team, 6-1, Saturday in Madison.

Butler opened the 2010 tennis season against the No. 3 team in the country Wednesday morning, losing at Ohio State 7-0. It was the first of a season-opening stretch against three Big Ten opponents.

Bulldog Mens Tennis Aiming For Return To NCAAs
The Bulldogs own nine conference championships and six appearances in the NCAA Mens Tennis Championship. Butler has fallen a step short of the league title in each of the past two seasons, but the 2010 edition of the Dogs may have enough firepower to get back to the national tournament.

Butler Has Successful Run At ITA Regionals
Butler tennis was as well represented as it has even been at last weekends ITA Mens Regional Tennis Championships. Eight players played singles including three in the main draw and each of the four doubles teams won a match in the main doubles draw.

Ben Raynauld and Bryce Warren won the doubles consolation bracket and Andrew Bayliss and Stephen McLoughlin won their consolation singles matches in the final day of Purdues fall invite.

Senior Ben Raynauld and junior Brandon Bayliss each went 2-0 in singles play to advance to the semifinals in their respective flights Saturday at Purdue fall invitational. Sophomore Stephen McLoughlin and freshman Andrew Bayliss will play in the consolation finals Sunday after rallying for afternoon victories.
