Bulldogs Beat YSU To Advance In League Tournament
The Butler men's tennis team jumped out to an early lead and freshman Austin Woldmoe clinched the team win at No. 1 singles to push BU past Youngstown State 4-2 in the first round of the Horizon League Men's Tennis Championship.

Woldmoe Garners Horizon League Honors
Butler freshman Austin Woldmoe was voted Horizon League Men's Tennis Newcomer of the Year and was also named first team all-league. The left-hander tied for the team lead with 13 singles wins while playing No. 1.

The Butler men's tennis team, seeded sixth, will open Horizon League tourney play Friday afternoon vs. Youngstown State. Weather permitting, the tournament is hosted at North Central High School in Indianapolis.

After winning twice at No. 1 singles over the weekend, freshman Austin Woldmoe has been named Horizon League Men's Tennis Player of the Week. It is the first career honor for the Fishers, Ind., native.

Freshmen Pulok Bhattacharya and Billy Weldon won in three sets to clinch a 5-2 Butler men's tennis win at UIC on Sunday. BU won five of six in singles play to pick up the victory.

The Butler men's and women's tennis teams hosted a clinic for tennis players in wheelchairs this fall. The Bulldogs help with this program in conjunctions with the Indianapolis Community Tennis Association and the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indianapolis.
