Madison, Wis. - Sophomore Bryce Warren posted a strong two-set win at the No. 2 singles spot, and first-year players Lenz Theodor and Zach Ervin teamed up for a victory at No. 3 doubles, but 31st-ranked Wisconsin proved to be too much to handle, as the Bulldogs fell in a 6-1 bout to the Badgers on Saturday (Jan. 24) afternoon.
Warren picked up his first dual meet win of the season at the second spot against the Badgers, topping Luke Rassow-Kantor 6-4, 7-6.
The doubles tandem of Theodor and Ervin, meanwhile, edged out the Wisconsin duo of Moritz Baumann and Michael Koval, 8-7, at the No. 3 position for the Butler pair's first doubles decision of the spring.
The host Badgers, however, would score wins in the remaining two doubles bouts and pick up victories in five singles matches to secure the team triumph.
Butler returns to action on Sunday (Jan. 25) when it kicks off
