West Lafayette, Ind. - Butler wrapped up play at the Purdue Fall Invitational on Sunday (Oct. 12) afternoon, as the Bulldogs claimed wins in seven singles matches and a pair of doubles bouts.
Sophomore Brandon Bayliss strung together a pair of victories in the Flight C bracket, topping Juan Martin Paredes of Marquette 6-2, 6-3 and Will Vasos of Iowa 6-3, 6-3 before falling in a hard-fought three-set match to Paul Foley of Purdue.
Bryce Warren also claimed a singles victory over Holm in the Flight A bracket, rallying from a 6-0 defeat in the opening set to claim a 0-6, 6-4, 6-3 decision. Zach Ervin also had to come back to win his match against the Hawkeyes' Chris Speer, taking home a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 win.
Chris Herron rounded out the singles wins with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Purdue's Griff Nienberg.
Herron and Warren also picked up an 8-6 win over Iowa's Holm and Reinoud Haal in the Flight A doubles bracket, while Bayliss and Raynauld notched an 8-2 victory over the Hawkeyes' Speer and Matt Nelson in the Flight B bracket.
Butler returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 16) when it kicks off the four-day ITA Regionals in Columbus, Ohio.
