Butler women's basketball coach Beth Couture has been named to the NAIA District VI All-Time Team. Couture was a standout player at Erskine College in South Carolina from 1980-84. She will be honored Saturday, May 19 in Spartanburg, S.C., on the campus of USC-Upstate. Read Full Release [+]

Butler University To Join Atlantic 10 Conference
Butler University will join the Atlantic 10 Conference beginning with the 2013-2014 season, President James M. Danko announced today. The move will cover all Butler athletic teams except football, which will remain in the Pioneer League, and woman’s golf.

Bulldogs Add Transfer Taylor Schippers
The Butler women's basketball program has added Taylor Schippers, a point guard from Oklahoma State, to its roster. Schippers is a native of Houston, Texas, and started 17 games for OSU as a freshman last season.

Butler Loses In Tournament At UIC
The Butler women's basketball season came to an end with a 66-53 loss at UIC in the quarterfinal of the Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship. Sophomore Mandy McDivitt and senior Devin Brierly led the Bulldogs with 15 points apiece.

The Butler women’s basketball team will be shooting for a third straight appearance in the Horizon League title game when it begins tournament play at UIC Wednesday, March 7. The two teams split during the regular season, with the home team winning each game.

Hamm, Cobb Earn All-Horizon League Honors
Sophomores Sarah Hamm and Jenna Cobb were recognized as the Horizon League announced its postseason awards. Hamm, a 6-2 center from Winchester, Ind., was named second team All-Horizon League. Cobb, a 5-8 point guard from New Holland, Ohio, was selected for the league's all-defensive team. The voting was conducted by the league's coaches, SIDs and select media members.

Douglas Goes For 31 To Lead BU Past Wright State
On Senior Day, it was a freshman who led the Bulldogs. Hannah Douglas scored a career-high 31 points and the Butler women's basketball team raced to an 81-66 win over Wright State on Saturday. The win ended a three-game skid for the Bulldogs.
