Bulldogs Travel To Valparaiso Saturday Night
The Butler womens basketball team, currently third in the Horizon League standings, will take on Valparaiso Saturday, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. The Bulldogs, coming off a last-second, 71-70 victory at Milwaukee, already own a 57-43 win over Valpo this season. The Bulldogs have won four of their last five games and are one game back of first place in the league.

Freeman's Jumper Lifts BU To 71-70 Win
Freshman Claire Freeman hit a jumper with 0.6 seconds to go to help the Butler womens basketball team to a 71-70 win at Milwaukee Saturday afternoon. The two teams traded three field goals in the final 14 seconds, the final being Freemans game-winner.

The Butler womens basketball team, currently tied for third in the Horizon League standings, will close its Wisconsin trip Saturday, Jan. 30 at Milwaukee. The Bulldogs are coming off a 73-62 loss at No. 24 Green Bay. Milwaukee enters the game having won three straight contests, including a 54-48 win over Valparaiso Thursday night.

No. 24/22 Green Bay rebounded from its recent losing streak to defeat the Butler womens basketball team, 73-62, in a battle for the lead in the Horizon League standings. Junior Chloe Hamilton led BU with 16 points and seven rebounds. Senior Melanie Thornton added 13 points, seven rebounds, four blocks and three steals.

The Butler womens basketball team, in a four-way tie for first in the Horizon League, will try to improve its championship chances with Thursday evenings game at Green Bay. The Bulldogs have won three straight by double figures to pull to 5-2 in the HL, while Green Bay dropped a pair to fall to 5-2. Nobody in the league played Green Bay as tough as BU last year, with the Phoenix beating BU twice by five.

The Bulldogs, 4-2 in the Horizon League, are coming off a 16-point win vs. Wright State. They can move into a second-place tie with Detroit and Cleveland State with a victory. UDM is coming off an overtime win at Valpo.
