AS A JUNIOR (2005-06): One of the team's most accurate shooters, hitting 44.8 percent of her field goals for the third-best mark on the team...fifth on the squad in scoring with 6.0 points per game...started in 12 of her 28 games played...averaged 9.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 13 non-conference games...notched a career-high 23 points on 8-for-13 shooting against Indiana State on Dec. 4...also pulled in a career-best eight boards against the Sycamores...tallied double-digit points on six occasions...averaged 13.0 minutes per game.

AT VINCENNES (IND.) UNIVERSITY: National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I First-Team All-American...as a sophomore, averaged 20.6 points per game for the Lady Trailblazers, the eighth-highest scoring average nationally among the junior college ranks...the NJCAA Region XII "Player of the Year" added 7.1 rebounds per contest and shot 51 percent from the field and 79 percent from the free throw line...as a freshman at Vincennes during the 2003-04 season, Gheorghe earned NJCAA Division I All-Region XII honors by averaging 14.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game...shot 48 percent from the field, including 33 percent from three-point range, and 81 percent from the charity stripe...started all 65 of Vincennes' games in her two seasons...coach: Harry Meeks.
