INDIANAPOLIS - No. 16 UW-Green Bay outscored Butler 35-8 in the second half to claim a 75-36 Horizon League win on Thursday evening at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The Phoenix, which have won ten straight, improve to 16-2 overall and remain undefeated in league action at 7-0. Butler drops its fifth consecutive outing, falling to 3-13 overall and 1-5 in the league.

Chandra Johnson scored UW-Green Bay's first nine points, propelling the Phoenix out to an early 9-4 lead. Tiffany Mor's layup at 13:00 gave the visitors a 12:13 edge, but Lisa Pryor then took over scoring eight of the game's next ten points to pull Butler to within 20-18.

Dionne Goodwin's putback at 8:14 tied the game at 20, but Abby Scharlow recorded back-to-back layups to put the Phoenix up four, 24-20. The Bulldogs countered again, Pryor's jumper followed by a steal and a layup from Nancy Bowden evened the score at 24 apiece.

But, the Phoenix took control of the game from there, going on a 15-4 run before halftime to head into the locker room with a 40-28 advantage. Both teams shot well in the first 20 minutes, with UW-Green Bay shooting 55 percent and Butler posting a 50 percent clip from the field.

UW-Green Bay picked up where they left off, scoring 15 of the first 17 points in the second half to take a 57-30 lead with 11:13 remaining. Nikki Budgake and Angel Mason scored on consecutive possessions to cut Butler's gap to 57-34. But, those would be Butler's last field goals of the game, as the Phoenix then went on an impressive 25-0 run over the next ten minutes to take a commanding 72-34 lead.

Pryor finished the game with 16 points, all of which came in the second half. She was Butler's only double-figure scorer. The Bulldogs were hampered by turnovers all game, as the Phoenix caused 24 Butler miscues. Butler shot 31 percent on the game, following a 12 percent second half performance.

Johnson led four UW-Green Bay players in double figures, finishing with 16 points. Scharlow contributed 13 points off the bench and Sara Boyer and Mor chipped in 12 points apiece.

The Phoenix, which shot 55 percent on the game, held a slim 32-29 rebounding edge.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday when the host UW-Milwaukee in a 2 p.m. contest at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
