Players Honored with Postseason Awards

Butler's women's basketball team officially concluded its 2003-04 season Monday night with its annual postseason banquet. Coach Beth Couture recognized all the players, coaches and support staff personnel who contributed to the team's fourth-place Horizon League finish and postseason tournament run. Hoosier Basketball Magazine editor Garry Donna served as the keynote speaker at the banquet.

The 2003-04 Awards:
Most Improved: Dionne Goodwin
Best Defensive Player: Angel Mason
Best Attitude: Courtney Lickliter
Coaches' Award: Haley Dunkman
MVP: Nancy Bowden
Seniors: Nancy Bowden, Haley Dunkman, Dionne Goodwin, Angel Mason, Lisa Pryor and Tiffany Smith

The Bulldogs finished this year's campaign with a record of 14-15 and 9-7 in league play, which placed the team in a tie for fourth in the standings. Butler won six of its last eight games, advancing to the semifinals of the Horizon League Tournament. The Bulldogs had three players earn league postseason awards.
