Butlers Clare Cornelius Earns NGCA Academic Honor
Butler sophomore Clare Cornelius has been named to the 2009-10 All-American Scholar Team for Division I by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) for the second consecutive year. She was one of 494 womens collegiate golfers recognized in Divisions I, II and III.

Bulldogs Finish Third At Horizon League Championship
Sophomore Michele Nash tied for fourth in the final individual standings and Butler wound up third in the team competition at the Horizon League Womens Golf Championship, which wrapped up at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Ky., on Sunday (April 25). Detroit won the 54-hole championship.

Michele Nash Named Horizon League Golfer of the Week
Sophomore Michele Nash, who helped Butler to a third place team finish at the Loyola Invitational, has been named Horizon League Womens Golf Athlete of the Week for the period of April 7-13. Shes the second Butler golfer to be honored by the League this spring.

Bulldogs Finish Third At Loyola Invitational
Sophomore Michele Nash posted a runner-up finish in the individual competition and Butler placed third in the team standings at the Loyola Invitational, which concluded at the Evanston Golf Club on Monday (April 11). The Bulldogs finished one stroke behind host Loyola in the 36-hole event.

Butler Women Place Second In Big Four Meet
Junior Molly Field tied for second in the individual competition and Butler placed runner-up in the team race at the Big Four Meet held at Crooked Stick Golf Club on Thursday (April 8). DePauw claimed the womens team title.

Bulldogs Capture Butler Spring Invitational Title
Junior Marcella Moreman finished runner-up in the individual competition and Butler captured the team crown at the Butler Spring Invitational, which concluded at Prestwick Country Club on Tuesday (March 23). The 10-team tournament was reduced to an 18-hole event, because of heavy rains on Monday (March 22).

Bulldogs Open Postseason Play At Illinois State
In postseason for the second straight season, the Butler womens basketball team will play in the WNIT at Illinois State Wednesday, March 17. The Bulldogs received the Horizon Leagues automatic WNIT bid after the league got two teams in the NCAA Tournament. BU is 23-9 and finished second in the league standings and tournament. ISU is 24-7 and the Missouri Valley Conference regular season champion.

Bulldogs Finish Third At Spring Fling
Sophomore Michele Nash tied for third in the final individual standings and Butler wound up third in the team competition in the St. Johns Spring Fling at Mission Inn Resort in Orlando, Fla. The 36-hole tournament wrapped up on Sunday, March 14.

Molly Fields Paces Butler At Don Benbow Invitational
Junior Molly Fields posted a Top 10 individual finish and Butler wound up eighth in the team competition at the Don Benbow Invitational, hosted by Butler in Jacksonville, Fla., on Monday and Tuesday (March 8-9). Houston Baptist won the 11-team tournament played at the Jacksonville Beach Golf Course.

Butler, bolstered by two players among the Top 15 individuals, wound up placing fifth in the 17-team F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate womens golf tournament, which wrapped up at Clarksville Country Club on Tuesday (Oct. 20).

Bulldogs Place 11th At MAC Preview
Junior Molly Fields placed among the Top 20 individuals and helped lift Butler to an 11th place team finish at the Duramed Mid-American Conference Preview, which wrapped up at Hawthorns Golf and Country Club in Fishers on Tuesday (Oct. 13). The Bulldogs were one of 16 teams competing in the 54-hole tournament.

Butler Ties For Fifth Place In Fall Womens Golf Invitational
The Bulldogs picked up a pair of Top 10 individual performances and wound up tied for fifth place in the team standings at the Butler Fall Golf Invitational held at Eagle Creek Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 5-6. Butler climbed two spots in the team standings on the final day.

Bulldogs Win PTSIR Golf Performance Classic
Junior Molly Fields defeated sophomore teammate Michele Nash in a playoff to claim medalist honors and the two co-leaders helped pace Butler to the team title at the PTSIR Golf Performance Classic, which concluded at Lost Marsh Golf Course in Hammond, Ind., on Tuesday (Sept. 23). The Bulldogs led the 10-team field by seven strokes.

Butler Places Sixth At Chris Bannister Classic
Junior Molly Fields wound up with a Top 15 individual finish to pace the Butler womens golf team at the season-opening Chris Bannister Gamecock Classic, which wrapped up at Silver Lakes on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail on Tuesday (Sept. 8). Butler finished sixth in the three-day tournament.
