Butler Women Place Second In Big Four Meet

CARMEL, IND. -- Junior Molly Field tied for second in the individual competition and Butler placed runner-up in the team race at the Big Four Meet held at Crooked Stick Golf Club on Thursday (April 8).  DePauw claimed the women’s team title.

Field shot a team-best 40 on the front nine and then closed with a 43 for her 18-hole total of 83.  She tied with Taylor Beaty of DePauw for runner-up in the tournament, three strokes behind medalist Erin Kielty of DePauw.

Butler’s Clare Cornelius and Allison Lipps tied for seventh in the meet with scores of 87, while Michele Nash and Marcella Moreman tied for tenth with an 88.

DePauw won the four-team meet with a team score of 338, seven strokes better than Butler.  Franklin came in third with a 353, while Hanover was fourth at 383.
