Bulldogs Will Begin NCAA Bid At Notre Dame
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- Butler will begin its first NCAA
Women’s Golf Championship bid in its home state. The
Bulldogs were selected by the Division I Women’s Golf
Committee to participate in the Central Regional, which will be
hosted by Notre Dame at Warren Golf Course, May 5-7.
Butler will be one of 24 teams competing at the 54-hole Central
Regional, one of three NCAA preliminary round tournaments.
Eight teams and two individuals will advance from the Regionals to
the championship finals at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas, May
18-21.
The Bulldogs earned their first automatic bid to the NCAA Division
I Women’s Golf Championship by winning the Horizon League
title at the league tournament in Florida, April 22-24.
Butler had three players finish among the “Top 10”
individuals in the league championship, including tournament
medalist Michele Nash.
