Three Butler Athletes Earn Golf Academic Recognition
Butler golfers Clare Cornelius, Julia Porter and Isabella Lambert have been named to the 2011-12 Division I All-American Scholar Team by the National Golf Coaches Association. The NGCA honored a total of 585 women’s collegiate golfers in Division I, II & III for academic excellence.

Michele Nash Finishes Second At Indiana Women’s Open
Former Butler standout Michele Nash turned in a strong performance at the Pepsi Indiana Women’s Open and wound up placing runner-up in the tournament, which wrapped up on Tuesday (July 3) at Hickory Stick Golf Club. More than 100 golfers participated in the 36-hole tournament.

Bulldogs Place 23rd At Central Regional
Butler shot its best round of the tournament and moved into 23rd place in the final team standings at the 2012 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Central Regional which concluded on Saturday, May 12. The Bulldogs carded a team total of 315 in the final round for a 54-hole score of 970.

Butler Slips To 24th At NCAA Regional
Senior Michele Nash carded one of the best rounds of the day, but it wasn’t enough to carry Butler at the 2012 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Central Regional on Friday, May 11. The Bulldogs wound up with a team score of 334 and slipped into 24th place after the second round of the tournament.

Bulldogs Stand 20th After First Day
Butler carded a team score of 321 to begin its bid at the 2012 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Central Regional on the Scarlet Course at Ohio State University on Thursday, May 10. The Bulldogs will continue play in the 54-hole tournament on Friday, May 11.

Butler Heads To NCAA Tournament
Butler, fresh off a second straight title in the Horizon League Women’s Golf Championship, will be heading to Columbus, Ohio, to begin playing in the 2012 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship. The NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Committee announced the teams and individuals for this year’s championship on Monday, April 30.

Michele Nash Named Horizon League Player of the Year
Butler senior Michele Nash has been named Horizon League Women’s Golf Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. Nash received the league’s top individual honor at the league’s pre-tournament banquet in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida, on Thursday, April 26.

Butler Ties For Sixth At Indiana Invitational
Freshman Isabella Lambert narrowly missed a “Top 10” individual finish and Butler tied for sixth in the team competition at the weather-shortened Indiana Invitational, which wrapped up on Sunday, April 15. The 15-team tournament at the IU Golf Course was reduced from 54 to 18 holes after thunderstorms hit Indiana on Saturday.

Butler made a clean sweep of the individual titles and captured both the men’s and women’s team championships at the annual Big Four Tournament, held at Crooked Stick Country Club on Thursday, April 5. It was the second straight Big Four crown for both Butler teams.

Butler Women Golfers Visit Scotland
The memories keep accumulating for the Butler women’s golf team. Two months after winning the Horizon League Women’s Golf Championship and making Butler’s first appearance in the NCAA Women’s Golf Tournament, the Bulldogs embarked on a trip to Scotland that provided another lifetime experience.
