Butler had four players finish among the top five individuals, and the Bulldogs cruised to the team title at the Big Four women's golf tournament held at Crooked Stick Country Club on Thursday, April 9. The Bulldogs claimed the championship by 11 strokes over runner-up DePauw.
Freshman Michele Nash and sophomore Molly Fields each carded a team-best 79 and tied for second in the four-team competition, one stroke behind medalist Taylor Beaty of DePauw. Fields had the best nine-hole score of the day with a 37 on the front nine, while Nash shot a 38 on the back nine. Senior Lauren Showers came in third for the Bulldogs and fourth overall with an 80 and sophomore Nicole Simon tied for fifth with an 82.
Butler posted a team score of 320 to finish first, while DePauw
came in with a 331. Franklin finished third with a 366, while
Hanover didn't post a team score.
