VALPARAISO, Ind. - Valparaiso scored twice in the second half to defeat the Butler women's soccer team, 2-0, Friday at Valpo's Eastgate Field. Jackie Kondratko and Rachel Hoaglin each scored to lead the Crusaders.

Kondratko's goal at 54:17 broke a scoreless match, as she headed a cross from Luisa Desario into the net. Hoaglin's tally came at 72:51, when she poked the ball away from Butler keeper Jessica Schein and into the net.

BU had three shots on goal in the first half, and had multiple tries in the early minutes. After Kondratko gave the Crusaders (8-8-1, 5-3-0 HL) the lead, Valparaiso was able to pack in its defense. Butler didn't have a shot on goal in the final 36 minutes of play.

The statistics were fairly even in most categories, with Butler owning slight edges in shots (9-6) and shots on goal (4-3). Each team had one corner kick and 12 fouls.

Seniors Molly Kruger and Carrie Twyman each had two shots for the Bulldogs (7-10-1, 3-3-1 HL).
