Bulldogs Host Soccer Clinic For Physically Challenged Youth

The Butler women's soccer team recently held a soccer clinic for physically challenged youth. The program was in conjunction with Indiana Soccer's TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer). The Indiana Soccer TOPSoccer Academy program was formed in partnership with Special Olympics Indiana, Dynamo FC and Butler University to provide an opportunity for Indianapolis’ exceptional athletes to enjoy the game of soccer.

“Our team is always excited to be a part of the TOPSoccer program,” head coach Tari St. John said. “Reaching out to the community is an important part of our program's culture. Our student-athletes are passionate about the sport and to be able to share that is going to be an incredible experience.”

The Bulldogs paired with one of the athletes and they went from training station to training station. The even was held on Sunday, Nov. 14 at the Butler Bowl.

Butler women's soccer was regular season champion of the Horizon League this season, posting a 6-2-0 record. The Bulldogs also advanced to the championship match.
