The Butler women's soccer team will play twice in the city of Indianapolis this week, heading over to Kuntz Stadium to play IUPUI Wednesday evening before hosting Valparaiso at the Butler Bowl Sunday, Oct. 3.

The Bulldogs are coming off a hard-fought 1-0 win over Wright State last Sunday. Sophomore Katie Griswold scored the game-winner in the 25th minute, her team-leading 6th goal of the season. The win gets the Dawgs off to a 1-0 start in Horizon League play. 

Butler will be seeking revenge against the Jaguars and Crusaders this week. IUPUI edged Butler last season, 1-0, in a game that was re-scheduled due to lightning last September. Toward the end of the season, Valpo scored a 2-0 win against Butler.

Fans coming to the match Sunday - as well as the Butler events on Friday and Saturday as well - are encouraged to wear pink in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
