2011 Butler Women's Soccer
The Butler women's soccer is back at home this weekend, hosting Loyola Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. ET. The match will be Senior Day for BU's lone senior, goalkeeper Natalie Galovska.
The Bulldogs enter this weekend's home match coming off a 2-0 win at Green Bay last weekend. Freshman Stephanie Kaylor and junior Katie Griswold scored for the Dawgs. The win up north snapped a three-match losing streak for Butler. Loyola had also lost three straight before defeating Youngstown State 1-0 last week.
Friday's match will mark the second consecutive season Loyola has come to the Butler Bowl. The Ramblers visited Butler last year on Oct. 15 and beat Butler 2-1. The Bulldogs led the match at halftime but Loyola scored twice late to escape with the win.
Griswold leads BU with six goals and is tied for the team lead with freshman Elise Kotsakis with 12 points. Kaylor has a team-high five assists.
Loyola started this season 3-1-1 before going on a six-match losing streak during the middle of the season. Ana Michelini is the Ramblers' leading scorer with nine points (4g-1a). Loyola has been out-scored 26-11 this year.
