Burton Named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week

NEW YORK – Senior Julie Burton was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week for her performances against Northern Kentucky and Bowling Green. Burton helped Butler shutout the Norse 3-0 and she was also heavily involved in the 2-1 overtime win over the Falcons.

Burton recorded her 10th career shutout against Northern Kentucky in the 2013 home opener. She came back to record four saves in the overtime victory at Bowling Green.

Through four games, Burton has 15 saves and a goals against average of 0.73. She is 3-1-0 overall with two shutouts.
