IUPUI Slips Past Bulldogs, 1-0

Indianapolis, Ind. - A goal in the 65th minute of play by IUPUI would be the only scoring in the match, as Butler dropped a 1-0 decision at the hands of the host Jaguars on Friday (Oct. 24) afternoon at Varsity Field.

The loss sends the Bulldogs to 10-9-0 on the year, while IUPUI improves to 10-6-0 overall.

Butler, which was listed as the away team despite playing at its home field after inclement weather forced a move from Kuntz Stadium, kept IUPUI off the board through the opening 45 minutes despite nine shots by the Jaguars in the period.

IUPUI would break through nearly 20 minutes into the second frame, however, as a header by Alexandria Baer found the back of the net from six yards out for the game's only score.

Molly Kruger led the way for Butler with three shots, while Abbie Kaul and Jessica Schein added two each.

Butler closes out the regular season at home on Sunday (Oct. 26) when it takes on Cleveland State beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Butler Bowl.
