Bulldogs Drop Double-Overtime Heartbreaker To Milwaukee, 2-1

Milwaukee, Wis. - Sophomore Carrie Twyman broke a scoreless tie in the 75th minute to give the Bulldogs a late lead in the Horizon League Tournament semifinals, but Milwaukee's Pam Shipway netted the tying mark five minutes later to force overtime before Sarah Teegarden hit the game-winning strike with just over two minutes remaining in the second extra period to give the Panthers the 2-1 win.

The Bulldogs finish the season at 10-9-1 on the year, while Milwaukee improves to 13-4-3 to move on to the Horizon League Championship match on Sunday (Nov. 11).

Twyman put Butler in front late in a tight match, stealing the ball and breaking away towards the goal for her seventh strike of the season.

Freshman Courtney Lord and junior Angie Muir led the team with three shots each, while Twyman and sophomore Lindsey Fox tallied two a piece.

Senior Annalise Larkin made four saves while playing the full 107-plus minutes in goal.
