Women's Soccer Inks 10 For 2007 Season
May 9, 2007
Indianapolis, Ind. - Butler women's soccer head coach Tari St. John announced the signing of her first recruiting class as the head mentor on Wednesday (May 9). The Bulldogs will begin the 2007 campaign with 10 new members, who will attend Butler and play soccer beginning in the fall.
The class includes a pair of forwards, three midfielders, three defenders and two goalkeepers. Five members of the class are native Hoosiers, while the remaining players hail from Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.
"In this recruit class, we focused on recruiting a mentality of hard work and competitiveness, and all 10 of our newcomers share that common thread," St. John said. "Our returning players have worked extremely hard this spring in preparation for next fall. With the addition of this recruit class, I am excited about the competitiveness and intensity we will have in our training environment.
"I have no doubt that several of our newcomers will be competing for starting roles immediately."
