Indianapolis, Ind. - After providing a huge offensive boost for the Bulldogs last week, junior midfielder Angie Muir was named the Horizon League's Player of the Week. The league office made the announcement on Monday (Sept. 17).
Muir was one of the top offensive catalysts in the Bulldogs' drubbing of Indiana State on Tuesday (Sept. 11), as the Carmel, Ind. native scored a goal and assisted on three others in helping Butler to a 7-3 victory. She added another goal and assists against Miami (Ohio) on Friday (Sept. 14).
Muir currently leads the Bulldogs with 10 points coming on three goals and four assists. She is the first Butler soccer player to be honored with the league's weekly honor this season.
The Bulldogs continue their four-match homestand this week when then welcome Indiana to Kuntz Stadium on Wednesday (Sept. 19) at 7:00 p.m.
