TITAN-IC FINISH: The Bulldogs clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming league tournament with a 5-0 win over the Titans of Detroit Sunday at Varsity Field. Sophomore Meredith Buemi scored less than four minutes into the match and the Bulldogs never looked back. Senior Amy Pike scored two goals on the afternoon. Katie Sanders and Megan Cappa combined on the shutout, making two saves.
LAST HOORAH: Sunday was also "Senior Day" for the Bulldogs as Pike, Krista Rott, Annie Doerr and Amber Stauch played their last game at Varsity Field. Stauch, sidelined all season by injury, started the game in goal before Katie Sanders replaced her less than a minute into the match. Doerr assisted on the Bulldogs' fifth goal. The seniors have been a part of 43 victories in their three-plus seasons at Butler, breaking the school's single-season wins mark in back-to-back seasons.

The North Central High School product leads the league in goals (eight) and points (21). In her last two league matches, Pike has scored four goals. She joins Meredith Buemi (Sept. 2) and Katie Sanders (Oct. 6) as Butler recipients of the honor.
