Jennifer Chasteen Earns Horizon League Honor
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- Butler senior Jennifer Chasteen has been
named Horizon League Softball Pitcher of the Week, for the week
beginning March 14. The Butler pitcher, who helped lead the
Bulldogs to a 9-1 record at the Rebel Games in Florida, earned the
league honor for the second time this season.

compiled a perfect 3-0 record. She did not allow an earned
run in 22.2 innings of work, maintaining a perfect 0.00 earned run
average on the season. She has now pitched 36.1 innings this
spring without giving up an earned run.
The Butler righthander recorded six strikeouts in a 3-1 victory
over Colgate, and then she tossed a pair of 10-0 shutouts against
St. Peter’s. She had seven strikeouts, while allowing
just two hits, in the second win against St. Peter’s.
The successful week in Florida helped boost Butler’s
season-record to 11-6.
The Bulldogs, who have a doubleheader at Indiana on Tuesday (March
22), will play their first home games of the season with a twinbill
against Indiana State starting at 3 p.m. (ET) at the new Butler
