Bulldogs Split Two Games to Open Rebel Games

Butler opened play at the Rebel Games in Orlando, Fla., Sunday afternoon by splitting a pair of contests. In the team's first game Sunday, the team defeated Fairleigh Dickinson, 11-3, in six innings before falling to Northern Colorado, 6-5. The Bulldogs are now 5-5 on the season and have eight games remaining in Orlando over the next four days.

Freshman Nikki Naffziger, the reigning Horizon League "Pitcher of the Week," got the win in the win over Fairleigh Dickinson. In the second game, Northern Colorado scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to score the victory.

Butler takes on Bradley (12:30 p.m.) and Army (4:10 p.m.) Monday. Full statistics from all of the games in Orlando will be available on www.butlersports.com later in the week.
