Butler Moves Softball Doubleheader To Midwest Sports Complex

March 26, 2007

Butler's softball home-opener against Bellarmine on Tuesday, March 27, has been moved to the Midwest Sports Complex at 7511 New Augusta Road in Indianapolis. The doubleheader, which will start at 2 p.m., was moved because the Butler Softball Field is still undergoing renovations.

The Bulldogs, who own a 7-8 record heading into the Bellarmine twinbill, are slated to play their first game at the Butler Softball Field on Friday, March 30, against Notre Dame College. That doubleheader will start at 2 p.m.

Butler won six of 10 games on a spring break trip to Florida, March 10-17. The Bulldogs picked up victories over Hartford, Army, Colgate, Yale, Columbia and Florida A & M at the Rebel Games held in Kissimmee, Fla. Junior Amy Hyerczyk continued to swing a hot bat on the southern trip, and she'll take a team-leading .510 batting average into this week's action.
