INDIANAPOLIS - The Butler women's tennis team rolled to a 2-0 record over the weekend, recording wins over Bradley and Ball State. The Bulldogs swept Bradley, 7-0, Friday and followed that with a 5-2 win over Bradley Saturday evening. BU (3-4) has now won three of its last four dual matches.
Four Bulldogs went 2-0 in singles action over the weekend. Junior Natali Jaimes went 2-0 at No. 2 singles, winning twice in straight sets. Seniors Molly Casperson (No. 3 singles) and Becky Jenkins (No. 4) also went 2-0, as did sophomore Cam Thompson at No. 6 singles.
Butler went 5-1 in doubles play sweeping Bradley and winning two of three to get the doubles point vs. Ball State.
BU's next match is Friday, Feb. 19 vs. Cincinnati at the Butler Tennis Bubble. First serve is 11 a.m.
