Butler Women's Tennis Drops 2

CHICAGO - The Butler women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches over the weekend. BU began the weekend by falling 7-0 at Louisville and followed that with a 7-0 setback at No. 45 DePaul Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Brittany Farmer had the most success against the weekend's tough competition. Playing No. 4 singles, Farmer forced Louisville's Ashley Irvin into a first-set tiebreaker before falling 7-6 (3), 6-2. She had a similar result at DePaul, this time at No. 6 singles. She played DU's Kirsten Gambrell tough, falling 6-3, 7-6 (8).

Butler hosts Illinois State Sunday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m.
