Bulldogs Open League tourney With 4-1 Win vs. YSU

MATCH RESULTS – Butler 4, Youngstown State 1

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 4 seed Butler women’s tennis team defeated Youngstown State, 4-1, to open Horizon League UIC Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

BU got wins at the bottom half of the lineup and in doubles play to make quick work of the Penguins. After Butler dominated doubles play, Molly Casperson won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4 singles and Cam Thompson won in the fifth spot 6-1, 6-0. Brittany Farmer’s three-set win at No. 6 singles clinched the victory.

YSU’s Margarita Sadovnikov won at the top spot for Youngstown State’s only point.
