MILWAUKEE - Butler won five of six in singles play and two of three in doubles action to score a 6-1 win at Milwaukee. The Bulldogs have won four straight and are now 3-0 in Horizon League play.
Milwaukee got a win at No. 1 singles, but the Bulldogs won every other singles match, with each victory coming in straight sets. Freshman Caroline Hedrick dominated 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 and fellow freshmen Stephanie McLoughlin and Gabrielle Rubenstein each rolled to victories as well.
Senior Gabriella Bobrowski won easily at No. 4, posting a 6-0, 6-0 win and sophomore Brittany Farmer won 7-5, 6-3.
McLoughlin and Rubenstein continued their solid play at No. 1 doubles, picking up an 8-6 victory. The duo, both freshmen, is now 15-8 this year. Bobrowski and Farmer won at No. 2 doubles 8-3.
"We looked tough for both matches this weekend," head coach Jason Suscha said, citing the previous day's 7-0 win at Green Bay. "We can continue to get better in certain areas of doubles that I think will really help us down the line."
Butler (11-6) has no road matches remaining. The Bulldogs have five matches left in the regular season, all at home. BU hosts Youngstown State and Cleveland State this weekend.
