CHICAGO, Ill. - Sophomores Stephanie McLoughlin and Gabrielle Rubenstein won at No. 1 doubles to lead the Butler women's tennis team at UIC on Sunday. The Flames won the dual match 7-0.
McLoughlin and Rubenstein, who are now 14-8 as a doubles team this year, won in a tie-breaker 8-7 (3) over Mariya Kovaleva and Haley Craig. Kovaleva is UIC's No. 1 singles player and Craig plays No. 3. It was their first career win over UIC.
The Flames won every other contest in the dual match.
Butler's next match is Saturday, March 31 vs. Detroit.
